ABSENTEE BIDS
Terms
1. Complete the absentee bid form and submit it no later
than 2 hours before the start of the sale - preferably earlier
to ensure sufficient time to record your bid(s).
2. Your bid(s) will either be executed by the auctioneer or a member of our staff. It is our practice to start all bidding on the floor and not with your left bid. However, if
2 or more left bids are received on an item, bidding will start with the next logical bid above the second highest. If 2 bids of the same amount are received on an item, the bid received first shall take priority.
3. Bidders will be notified by phone call the following day if they have been successful.
4. Bidders must pay for all items prior to pickup. Note that a 15% buyers premium will be applied to all purchases. Also, a state and local sales tax of
8.125% will be applied to all purchases, including the buyers premium, unless a valid NY state resale number is supplied.
5. It is your responsibility to preview items prior to sale, to ensure it meets your standards. As such, every item is sold "AS IS" with no guarantees.
Please feel free to call us for a complete description of the item(s)
you are interested in. Sorry, we do not accept returns.
6. Minimum accepted bid is $50. Note, during active
bidding it is possible that the maximum amount of your bid lands on
the floor, and not with you. If this occurs, you will be unsuccessful
unless you place a "+1" designation on your bid order, e.g.,
$500 +1. This will ensure that we will bid one more time on your
behalf with one logical bid over your maximum - in this example
$550. If no other bids are received, you would be the successful
bidder at $550. If bidding resumes above this bid, we will not bid any
higher on your behalf.
7. We make every attempt to accurately record your bids, however, we are not responsible for errors or omissions during the process of recording or executing them.
8. By completing the absentee bid form, you are accepting the terms and conditions outlined above.
